Yoga has become a beloved teacher, space for prayer, a self-regulation toolkit and the strongest, most stable pillar of self-care.
I believed that I was weak, and yoga taught me that I am strong. I believed that I was incomplete, not enough, and that only things outside of me would make me whole. Yoga and meditation have helped me discover that everything I truly need is on the inside.
My practice is inspired by Vinyasa, Hatha, Restorative, and Gentle yoga, as well as Pranayama (breathwork).

I hold my 200-hour yoga certification from alchemy of yoga, and have received multiple trainings in trauma-informed yoga.
From February 2017 - June 2018, I volunteered for Yoga Behind Bars, co-teaching yoga for incarcerated adults and teens in the Seattle, WA area. YBB's focus is on sharing trauma-informed yoga and mindfulness practices as a toolkit for body + mind connection and to empower self-regulation. Read more about YBB in this journal post.
